Meet Our Relationship Team
Kathleen Kane, LMFT
Kathleen provides couples therapy from a systemic and humanistic approach that seeks to understand clients in the context of their relationship. Kathleen focuses on identifying personal and relational patterns that clients find themselves repeating or feeling caught in. In learning about where these patterns may have originated and how they impact their relationships, Kathleen works with her clients to become aware of and to challenge their own cycles, to find ownership and empowerment in creating new solutions, and to discover and maintain long-lasting change.
Julia St John, LCSW
Julia prioritizes a therapeutic approach that is collaborative and connection driven as couples work toward unlocking their most full potential. Julia practices through a mindfulness-based lens. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, an empirically supported approach to guide value clarification, defusion from any schemas or behavioral patterns that serve as a barrier in your relationship, and commitment to meaningful actions that align with your core interests.
Alexis von Roth, LMFT
Alexis works with couples to better understand themselves and how they show up in their relationships. Alexis will work with you to gain insight into your strengths as a couple, as well as patterns that are not working for your relationship and support you to make realistic changes. Alexis focuses on enhancing friendship and connection within relationships. Alexis has completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Training and has advanced training in perinatal mental health.

The process involves:
- A free initial phone consultation to discuss your needs and to evaluate if the WellSpace@Home: Relationship Intensive Consultation is the right fit.
- Access to Gottman Institute’s Online Relationship Check-up. The results will be sent to your clinician for review prior to meeting, in order to guide your facilitator in customizing your consultation.
- A two-hour in-person or virtual consultation with a member of the relationship team.
- A written follow-up from your facilitator to review relationship strengths, areas of growth, goals and recommendations.

During the consultation, you will work with a clinician to address a specific issue or goal. Some examples include: communication issues, conflict resolution strategies, strengthening friendship and connection, setting boundaries, or preparing for life changes within your relationship (i.e. getting married, preparing to have a baby, etc.).

This service is ideal for couples looking to improve specific aspects of their relationship. However, it is not suitable for couples experiencing high levels of conflict, infidelity, intimate partner violence, or complex relationship issues. If we determine this service is not recommended, we will provide suggestions for services that might be a more supportive fit.

Confidentiality is paramount in our consultations. Our clinicians adhere to strict ethical guidelines to ensure your privacy and comfort throughout the process. We use a HIPAA secure telehealth platform for our virtual sessions.

The cost of the WellSpace@Home: Relationship Intensive is $500. This includes the cost of the Gottman Institute’s Relationship Check-up, a two hour consultation focused on your relationship, and a post consultation summary with resources and suggestions specific to your relationship needs.

Results may vary depending on individual circumstances and the nature of the issues addressed. Our clinicians will work with you to establish realistic expectations and goals during the consultation.

Our licensed clinicians have extensive training and experience working with couples on a number of different issues. Please note your clinician will be operating in a different capacity as a facilitator rather than in a formal, therapeutic role.
